New In | High End Summer Beauty

Over the last year, there have been some of the most exciting beauty launches I’ve ever seen. Trends come and go, but whenever theres a new beauty launch it seems to hang around for quite some time. From high end to drugstore, everyone will have a version at some point. As you all know, I’m getting married next year so I’m starting to explore new beauty products that could make the final cut for the big day. I’m swaying towards high end vs drugstore (unless I can find cheaper alternatives) but for now, I’ve been trying out some products that I’ve heard amazing things about…

First up is the Dior Skin Forever Foundation, which I’d heard so many amazing things about. Luckily for me, I spend a fortune throughout the year at Boots, so I managed to get this one with my advantage points! At £35 its not cheap, but the formula, smell and coverage have all got big ticks from me! Based on the price, I definitely won’t be using this everyday but its perfect for nights out and special occasions. It has protection of SPF 35 and the most beautiful packaging which is always a thumbs up for me!

Next is the Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Pomade, I’ve used this one before when I bought it in NYC, but unfortunately they didn’t colour match me very well. So I picked this one up from Cult Beauty as they stock some of the BEST American beauty brands! For £15 I would say this is well worth it as you need the tiniest bit and my last pot lasted me over a year!! Cost per wear people!

My lovely friend Anna treated me to my first Charlotte Tilbury Lipstick for my birthday, and I was totally over the moon! This is from the K.I.S.S.I.N.G range in the shade Bitch Perfect (hoping theres no pun intended there Anna!) which is a subtle nude with a slight sheen, perfect for everyday wear. For £24, these are slightly more expensive in the world of lipsticks but if you’re looking to treat yourself, I’d say go for it! ‘Pillow Talk’ from the matte collection is next on my wish list.

Last but not least, is the new Nars Soft Matte Concealer which I recently picked up from ASOS. I’ve been using the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer for about 2 years now and its a favourite of mine, so when I saw this new release I couldn’t wait to try it! Needless to say, it didn’t disappoint and its now in my every day makeup routine. Applied with a damp beauty blender, the coverage is amazing, perfect for hiding away those tired eyes and any blemishes. It stays put throughout the day and as its so compact its perfect for throwing in your handbag, should you need to top it up at all. This costs in the same as the other Nars concealer at £23 but if you manage to get hold of it on an ASOS 20% off event like I did then its a total steal!

I’d love to know if any of you have tried these beauty bits before and what you thought? Or if you have any other recommendations for me to try then even better!

Honestly, the Dipbrow Pomade continues to be my favorite brow product no matter how many others I try. I’ll use a pencil for my to-go/daily kit, but anytime I do proper makeup it always comes back to the dipbrow. Glad you were able to finally get your shade!
